H&T launches IEEE802.3bt Ultra High Power PoE Switch

2020/11/17 10:40:49

Over the years, PoE (Power over Ethernet) technology has been widely used due to its ease of installation and low operating costs. With the growing popularity and maturity of PoE (Power over Ethernet) technology and the development of the Internet of Things (IoT), more and more high-power devices are connected to the network, resulting in a surge in power demand. To meet the needs of these applications, Hontex offers a complete range of high power PoE products, from PoE switches, industrial switches, photoelectric converters, PoE power supplies, PoE extenders and PoE splitters, all of which are compliant with IEEE 802.3af/at/bt standards and can provide up to 95W of power.

H&T Optoelectronics has been committed to the development and research of new generation products, and has recently introduced 802.3bt series of high power PoE (Power over Ethernet) with a maximum power supply of 95W per port, using IEEE 802.3bt protocol, which is backward compatible with 802.3at and 802.3af, with four new high power PD classes (Class). It is the highest power output in the high power solution of H&T Optoelectronics. It is the best choice for intelligent building digital lighting, commercial buildings, educational facilities, medical institutions, manufacturing and warehousing facilities and many other places to provide ceiling lighting services, as well as intelligent communities, parking lots, intelligent scenic spots, rest and entertainment and other ultra-high-density scenes.

IEEE802.3bt Most Notable Points of Interest

The arrival of IEEE 802.3bt heralds a new era of strong market opportunities for PoE technology, and the standard is a solid foundation for expanding the Ethernet Alliance's PoE certification program.
1: IEEE 802.3bt triples the maximum power for Power Supply Equipment (PSE), expanding from 30 W to 90 W, and increases the power level for Power Usage Equipment (PD) to 71.3 W.
2: IEEE 802.3bt increases the number of supported classes from four to eight for Type 3 and Type 4 powered equipment (PSE) and power-using devices (PD) from 4-90 W and 3.84-71.3 W, respectively.
3: The IEEE 802.3bt standard offers many new features and capabilities, such as support for efficient 4-wire pair power transmission and channel definition for 2.5 Gbps, 5 Gbps, and 10 Gbps PoE operation.

IEEE 802.3bt, which enables remote powering through structured cabling in compliance with the standard, uses a combination of all four pairs and creative features such as "Autoclass" to achieve maximum power increases and improved efficiency.
