The HT102P-SFP is a gigabit PoE fiber media converter designed to convert 10/100/1000BASE-T copper to 1000BASE-X fiber optic while providing Power over Ethernet cable (PoE) to IEEE 802.3af PoE compliant devices such as IP surveillance cameras, VoIP phones, wireless access points, and other network devices. This SFP PoE media converter acts as Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) device to provide power to Powered Devices (PD) that comply with the IEEE 802.3af standard. The auto-sensing function can supply power to PD devices and stop supplying power once the PoE device disconnected.
The HT102P-SFP PoE media converter provides a perfect PoE solution to deliver data and power network devices saves you the cost and effort of buying, connecting, and installing extra power supplies and electrical cabling for each device.
This HT102P-SFP SFP PoE media converter provides an open Gigabit SFP slot, allowing you to choose the MSA-compliant pluggable optics that best meet your fiber connection needs. This SFP fiber media converter lets you choose a wide range of SFP transceivers that suit your singlemode or multimode cabling systems, such as 1G SFP transceiver, BiDi SFP transceiver, and CWDM SFP transceiver, and supports transmission distances up to 160 kilometers (99.4miles) depends on different SFP modules. The Gigabit SFP media converter offers a flexible and cost-effective way to extend the distance of an existing copper network, the life of non-fiber-based equipment, or the distance between two devices, allowing you to maximize the usage and performance of legacy equipment.

What is PoE Media Converter?
PoE media converters combine data and power on a single cable, allowing for copper to fiber connectivity while enabling Power over Ethernet to PoE certified devices including wireless access points, IP cameras, and VoIP phones. The converter interfaces between the fiber infrastructure and copper ports on VoIP phones and also provides power to the IP phone. The PoE media converter excels in industrial and high-density applications because to its perfect compliance with Fast Ethernet standards. PoE fiber converters can be used to bridge the gap between different types of business networks and even expand network connections beyond normal cabling.
How does PoE Media Converter work?
The data transmission between a fiber switch and a remote or wireless access point is supported by a typical 10/100/1000M PoE media converter. This media converter also provides power to the access point. A fiber optic cable connects the fiber switch to the PoE media converter. The fiber is run a far way to the PoE media converter, which converts the fiber back to copper UTP and is positioned near a DC or AC power source. PoE (DC power) is injected via the UTP cable by the PoE media converter, which also serves as a micro switch for power supply.
