With the development of 5g commercial deployment drive carrier network in 2019, 5G base station will usher in a wave of large-scale construction cycle. According to authoritative experts, the number of 5G base stations will be 4-5 times that of 4G, and the optical cable connection between AAU and Du will also grow rapidly, which will generate a large number of optical fiber cabling requirements. In order to deal with the large-scale and high-density 5g base station, a more efficient optical fiber cabling will be essential.

FTTA is a broadband network architecture to connect the building base band unit (BBU) to the remote radio unit (RRU) at the top of the tower by using optical fibers to replace all or part of the coaxial network. FTTA technology can greatly reduce the loss of signal power, the maximal transmission distance can be up to 20km which realizes centralized placement of base stations in lower-cost telecommunication rooms as well as more flexible and modularized network planning. FTTA is an innovative, flexible and future-oriented way to install the network.
